EOC Week 7 Trader Joe's Reserch

Two dollar Tuesday is going a long way at Trader Joe's. No longer is $2 wine sold on only Tuesdays, in actuality $2 wine happens everyday. We use this technic as a gimmick to find new consumers and bring them in. Keeping our current consumers happy as well as new consumers.

1. Would you come into a Trader Joe's if we offered $2 salads on our $2 Tuesday wines?
2. If we offered free wine seminar with a purchase of our $2 wines?
3. How often would you consider coming on Tuesdays to Trader Joe's?

EOC Week6

Nevadans say income tax cuts should stay

Its was stated in the RJ as Congress winds up for a big debate this 2010 fall over taxes, Nevadans polled are sending a strong message not take away tax cuts. Understandably almost 30 percent polled would let lower rates expire and with a wide margin, Nevada residents say they want lawmakers to continue reduced income tax rates for individuals and other tax cuts enacted in 2001 and 2003. What are we as a people to do if expire taxs cuts go in effect at year's end unless they are extended .

S.W.O.T Analysis

Strengths- Offers the consumer a drink to relieve a stress filled day. With its smooth taste people from all over the globe know which liquor can help wash the day away. Our price affordable to ensure we can provide a great product for the everyday “man”.

Weaknesses: Consumers may believe we promote drinking every day after work and that is not the intent. Many, many competitors on the market and there brand is already widely known. With all the brands out in the market certain consumers will not change their ways even if the price is right.

Opportunities: Living in the City of Lights or how I think of it as The City that Never Sleeps, we can use that to our advantage to promote to every nightclub/lounge, bars and any local community events. We can also have events coinciding with the nightclubs as a charity event or other promotional ideas.

Threats: Our only main threat is ourselves. If we see competitors as a threat we will always be behind the eight ball. If we can’t fix the problem then we need to go back into our marketing and research and fix it.

EOC Week5 POLL

I chose to make a poll on the two topics listed to the left because they are up to date topics that most people rarely every take the time to think about.For me I easily took a liking to both topics but I wanted to see how others may react to them.

I like seeing how others react to certain topics whether they are controversial or not. An opinion different form my own is a new view I like to engage in. Even the simplest topics can cause a eye brow raise and that's what I try to strive for.

EOC Week4 BIG

The film authenticity of the era rings true here (the computer adventure game, the Yankees ball players, the hair and clothing styles) creating an evocative period piece. Big is a nearly perfect time capsule. A typical 13-year old boy who hangs out with his best friend, plays games on his computer in that days in time, groans when his mom asks him to clean up around the house, and is too shy to approach the pretty girl he likes. More than anything, Josh thinks that he wants to be bigger (or older). The thought of being big surly has pass through the mind of many kids, who see adulthood as the promised land. Ironically, given the choice, many adults would happily re-live their childhood for another shot at the innocence and lack of responsibility from their younger years. This is a lesson Josh learns during the course of Big. Everyone who is young it seems wants to be older. Everyone wonders what they will be when they grow up. A fortune telling video arcade turns a wish true. He wakes up the next morning trapped in the 30-something body. He soon finds out that life as an adult is not as easy as it seems. He applies for a position as a data entry worker at MacMillan Toys, and he is soon singled out by MacMillan for his youthful enthusiasm. Thereafter, he is promoted to Vice President of Product Development. Now this would truly be a dream job for any 13-year old, being that it involves playing with toys all day. Moreover, he knew the target market of MacMillan, and was experience first hand MacMillan’s product.
